“Zuri,” which means beauty in Swahili, is more than just a word, it’s a feeling, a presence, a way of being.

The inspiration for this collection was born during an unforgettable journey to Lamu, a serene island off the coast of Kenya. As my sisters and I wandered through its vibrant streets, locals would warmly greet us with the word “Zuri.” Curious about its meaning, we asked our guide, who explained that “Zuri” is used to express beauty not just physical, but a deeper, soulful elegance.
That simple yet powerful exchange stayed with us. It awakened something a desire to create pieces that embody that same energy: effortless beauty, quiet strength, and bold self-expression.
